REGISTRATION & CREATION

Your username can be anything you want; the display name needs to be that of your character in all caps. Profile threads need to be titled LAST NAME IN ALL CAPS, first and optional middle name(s) in lower case - no exceptions. Applications are pretty simple to fill out, so just do your best. I'll accept just about anything that's complete.

Please make a new account per character.

GRAPHICS

Avatars: 100x100 | Signatures: 500x300 max
Should signatures exceed the size listed, they will be removed until they are resized. Please don't stretch out the page!!

I have a graphics thread and will make you things upon request for this site or any other site you need stuff for. You are also welcome to set up your own graphics shop.

FACE CLAIMS

This should be pretty simple. When you've decided on a person you would like to have as a playby (playbys are not required, but encouraged) go to the face claims thread and make sure you get them listed. If you neglect to do this and someone else comes along and posts in the claims thread they will get that face. Even if you have been here from the beginning, they will get that face because it is YOUR JOB to keep up with your claims.

GIVING CREDIT

FOR THE LOVE OF [NAME] DO NOT PLAGIARIZE OR STEAL! If you borrow a graphic, if you use someone else's posts or profiles or whatever - IF IT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU - you absolutely must leave proper credit. Failure to comply with this rule will result in deletion and banning. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE SOMETHING, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE IT.

IC, OOC, & WORD COUNT

Use fade to black when scenes are getting steamy and keep certain things vague before the fade. If you have questions about what is acceptable, please do not hesitate to ask. Additionally, before you decide your character is pregnant, you need to discuss it with the admin.

Generally, profiles are just a formality to me. What I want to learn about a character can really be seen in game. However, you need to be consistent with your characters especially if you decide to just do the bare minimum. In this case, profiles should outline just about everything for your characters. Consistency is key (<--that is not the app. password). If you don't say your character is a paranoid schizophrenic anywhere in your profile, they can't suddenly be paranoid schizophrenics. Don't take advantage of my easy-going attitude or I will have to be a super jerkface admin and put down strict guidelines for everything. And remember, you can go back and add things if you need to (just let us know).

DO NOT SPAM THE C-BOX. There is a designated area for advertising, don't abuse the c-box or there will be consequences.

I'm not going to require a word count. quality will always trump quantity. That being said... ONE LINERS ARE NEVER ACCEPTABLE. THERE IS ALWAYS MORE YOU CAN SAY. I understand if you're having an off day, it happens to all of us. Try to match the length of the person you're threading with and if you just can't think something to write, take a break and finish your post later.

Notify the admin or a mod when your thread has ended or is dead so that we can keep the boards clutter-free.

BE RESPECTFUL

I shouldn't have to say it, but some people need a reminder. Don't pick out of character fights with people. If you can't get along, don't roleplay together. Don't criticize the work of others just to make yourself feel good or whatever. It's rude and I won't stand for it. This should be a simple rule to follow. If you have any problems, PM me immediately and it will be handled.

KEEP IT REALISTIC

Yes this is fiction. Yes this au. But things like god-moding are no fun. Have conflicts, let your characters get injured or put into a really bad situation. Let them get diseases/STDs. Let them be cowards. Let them be selfish. Have language barriers. Let them make mistakes. BE TRUE TO YOUR CHARACTERS WITHOUT BEING MARYS OR GARYS. do what you can to make it realistic in this setting. If you have any questions, ask.

Violence and swearing are cool with me, just don't overdo it. and now that you have finished reading the rules, highlight the bottom of this page to get the password or secret you will need in order for your profile to be approved.
