- 28 October 1735. Fiacre always supposed his mother immensely relieved that after nearly a decade she had finally borne a son and heir to the throne of Monaco, three daughters and Fiacre's twin later. At last she could close her legs to her husband and open her lips to God in prayer instead. The King, however, reveled in the miracle birth of his heir. A sign from God and a snub to the King of France; the Monacan heir born on the 34th Anniversary of Monaco's capture of the Corsican Territory from France. The current King himself had nearly served in the operation that resulted in the capture had his father not restrained him with an important piece of advice 'I have reestablished us with violence. Now you must solidify us with diplomacy.' Advice he did not seem to heed, at least then. Whatever their feelings, the twins were rejoiced by their parents and the kingdom. In celebration the King commissioned a reconstruction of the palace in Corsica that his father had built. And the children; the children seemed so happy.
- As almost all twins who grew up together, Fiacre and Dorothee were closer to one another than anyone else. When their parents were away, their mother in the chapel and their father making love to a wine bottle, Fiacre was never starved for attention. To he, his elder sisters were irrelevant, personalities he could never understand. He had his best friend and confidant. He and his twin shared everything, including a love for God that their mother had instilled in them from the time that they could make the Sign of the Cross. Each night they said their prayers together in whispered heavenly chorus. Fiacre thanked God for being truly blessed; with loving parents and a perfect sister for company.
