Elizabeth Caroline Windsor was born on March 28, 1736 at 5:45 in the morning in the Windsor Castle outside of London. She is the youngest daughter of King Windsor and Queen Cecilia Windsor. Just two months after birth was sent off to live with her sister on their own house hold of 8 ladies in waiting. At age 4,Lizzy remembers crying herself at night when she heard that her sister had fallen off horse. After hearing about the accident, the girl did not know what she might do if she did not have her sister by her side. But that small incident did not put damp on the young princess life; she grew up a happy girl. The girl was always testing the patience of the servants of the household. Elizabeth loves to pull pranks on her servant, just to get a good laugh. Since she is the youngest, Lizzy takes advantage of being spoiled by servants to get things that she wants, like more toys or extra sweets during dinner.
But not everything was a dreamy scenario for the young royal; she grew up distant from her parents. The girl grew up surrounding by servants and governess; she did not have any motherly guidance. Her education was conducted by her governess who strict with her and made sure that the young girl always fell in line. She did not let young Lizzy get away with any of the pranks that she pulled on her servants. But the young Elizabeth wanted more than just governess and servants contact, she wanted to see her Mother. The girl one day wrote a letter to her parents requesting a visit. Elizabeth felt abandon and not love when she did not hear back from them. The girl sequestered herself in her quarters for day crying and avoiding any contact. She just wanted to be alone with her thoughts trying think why did her parents not love her.
An incident that would mark the young royal for the rest of her life was when she saw her Father hit her sister in the face. Elizabeth had been present at the coming out ball even though she really did not want be there, after all she had rocky relationship with them. But the girl had fun night and put a good face for all those in attendance to see that they had normal family. Everything was going to her dilate until her sister got mad with her brother and threw goblet at him. She tried to rush to her sister side but before she got there, she saw as her Father the King raised his hand and slapped her sister. Elizabeth stormed out of place and just cried on the way to her Estate, she could not understand why her Father would hit her sister like that. After all her sister had not started the argument, her oldest brother had.
The girl did not let incidents like that put a hamper on her life, she had other things that she could focus on. Even though she lives away from palace, she still lived a privilege life. The girl decided to focus her energy on her painting and on riding horses through her Estate. There were better things in the world than getting angry at her parents. She still loved them even if they did not love her back.
Elizabeth returned to palace once again for her brother’s 18th birthday even though she did not want go without her sister. But Elizabeth being the girl that she is did not want anger anybody so she went ahead to the birthday. Through the night, she was happy and putting her best face forward for the guest in attendance, but inside she was sad and hurt. The girl did not understand why distance between her parents and her sisters, they were after all the same family.
One of her best news of her young life came when her sister informed her that she was heading to Versailles with her. Elizabeth could not be more excited to get out of England and head to France with her sister even if it was for short time until her sister got married. But when they arrived to France, her sister informed that she would be heading with her to her new kingdom. Elizabeth was beyond ecstatic, she did not have to return to England anymore and that unhappy environment she lived in.
