Okay so, before I made a character I wanted to see if I could get them involved in a plot right away I’ll create whichever character is chosen last. There are really no constraints except for age, gender, and the major events themselves. I’m sorry if the synopsis is kind of confusing. The plot itself is based off the movie Dangerous Liaisons and I hope that’s okay. I just really wanted to know what you all thought. I’m also not too familiar with the rules of royalty and what not, so if there are any discrepancies, please point them out

Woman#1, has recently found out that a former lover, has moved on to an arranged marriage to Woman#2, someone considerably younger and, in her opinion, better looking. To get back at him, Woman#1 enlists the help of her partner in crime, Man#1, to steal the virginity of Woman#2, a trait so highly coveted by Woman#1’s ex. Man#1, agrees to go through with this plan – it is simply his nature and he harbors feelings for Woman#1.
This established, to get closer to Woman#2, Man#1 arrives in Versailles for a sabbatical with his a relative that lives there. Her husband to be, Woman#1’s former lover, is a member of the French royalty and is away on business in Spain. He manages to snag the interest of Woman#2 and just as he is about to coerce the youngster into his bed, Man#2 presents a challenge. He is a close friend of Woman#2, of the same age, and wants the girl for himself. He does genuinely have feelings for her though and feels that Woman#2 returns them. From that point on, it becomes a race to win her over. Woman#2 has feelings for Man#2 but is drawn in by the allure and seductive nature of Man#1. She blindly falls into his trap, giving herself to Man#1 one night after he sneaks into her room.
After this, Woman#2 contemplates running off to be with Man#1. She is, however, hesitant because of her growing feelings for Man#2. However, she sees Man#2 with a female friend, mistaking them for a couple, and decides to ask Man#1 about her idea. Thinking that he truly does love her, she is blatantly surprised when she confronts him at Versailles. Man#1 blatantly tells her of his true intentions before going off to chase some other girl. Angry and heartbroken, she locks herself in her bedroom, refusing to eat or to see anyone.
After two weeks of this behavior, Man#2 forces his way into her bedroom, heartbroken to see her like this. During their conversation, the feelings they have held for one another are revealed and the fact that Woman#2 lost her innocence to Man#1 is also exposed. Enraged, Man#2 confronts Man#1 and challenges him to a duel. The battle is fierce but, in the end, Man#2 prevails. However, he does spare the life of Man#1, knowing that to die is to live inside his head.
Going back to Woman#2, they consummate their love and Man#2 asks her to run away with him.
Characters
Woman#1 – We don’t see much of her in the plot but there has to be a meeting between her and Man#2. She’d probably be in his mid-thirties or early forties – a member of the French royal family, and residing in Versailles.
Woman#2 – A main character, she would be between 17-20 years old. A member of the royal family, she resides in Versailles.
Man#1 – Another main character, he would probably be in his mid-twenties to early thirties. He is not part of the French royal family directly, but is related to one of the residents of Versailles.
Man#2 – Also a main character, he would be the same age as Woman#2, maybe slightly older. He is not a member of the royal family but has fallen within their circle because he is a clever musician who is often called on for entertainment. He has since then become close knit with Versailles finest. He is wealthy, managing to pass as a member of the bourgeoisie. All his family is apparently dead and he gained his money through inheritance.
