In time he grew to respect her, though it dissipated completely when the Queen's religious zeal extended to negatively affect his only son, with whom he has a close relationship. Without love for his wife, the King occupies himself with several mistresses.

The daughter of an Irish Earl, the Queen was raised and lived in a convent prior to her arranged marriage to the King. God first before anything in her life, she thought herself blessed until her only son fell ill. Believing it to be the work of the Devil, the Queen embarked on veritable crusade for the salvation of his soul that persisted throughout the years, aided by her youngest daughter, who, as told to her from a dream, she believes the angels work through.Her relationship with her husband nearly nonexistent, she remains unaware of his infidelity.

Heir to the Monacan throne, the prince has suffered from the falling sickness since an early age, which his mother attributes to demonic possession. Enduring many religious rituals throughout the years, the prince's relationship with his mother and twin are strained in the least. Disdainfully he views the practices as little more than impediments toward his own grander purpose of power and conquest, believing himself to be the reincarnation of Julius Caesar.
